There are times when I want to write on my blog but I just don't have the time. As soon as I have, I'll be updating my blog again. In the meantime, wish me the best while I go job hunting in Manila.
Thanks, everyone!

In Memory of Patsy
I never thought another loved one will be leaving me so soon. After Mama Sobel, my aunt, after Ka Naguit, after Lola, now they've taken Patsy away from me. Just a few months after taking away Schneider. Whew, all in just less than a year!
Who is Patsy? She's my best bud and playmate, my pet, a German Shepherd Dog. She's lived a very short life, 2 years, 1 month, and 1 day to be exact. But those two years have been full of fun.
Yesterday, I received a text message from my boyfriend saying that Patsy seems to be sick. She hardly eats but she's drinking water. When he said the word "seems", I never thought she's already VERY SICK! What a way to describe the situation to me... I'm at work the whole day so I don't have the chance to see her. My boyfriend asked me if he should take her to her veterenarian but I didn't have load so I couldn't reply to him. Yet, if you already see your beloved pet dying in front of you, gasping for breathe, would you still wait for a reply to your question? Can't you decide for yourself since she's also YOUR dog? That she actually lives with you and not me?
Okay, okay, enough said. There's no use in blaming anybody else since nothing can bring Patsy back to life now.
When I got to their house after my work, I rushed to see Patsy and that was the last time I saw her lift her head and wag her tail. Without thinking twice, I immediately took her to her vet. Along the way, I could sense that she's really having a very hard time breathing and she was also trying to vomit. She was lying on my lap all the time and she was looking at me, as if wanting to say goodbye already. I hugged her tight and told her to hang on. When we arrived at the vet's clinic, there were 4 other "patients" waiting for their turn. Due to the case of Patsy, her vet let us in immediately and asked us to lay her on the operating table. The vet took out the dextrose, while his assistant looked for a syringe and some other stuff. After a while, the vet injected something on her hind leg (I forgot what it was). A few seconds later, Patsy vomitted some white liquid and then she stopped breathing. They tried to revive her for some more minutes and I knew then that she's already gone. That's when I asked them to stop already because nothing can revive her anymore. At that point, I couldn't hide the pain anymore so forgetting about all the people in the clinic (waiting for their patients' turn) I cried my heart out.
Patsy has been very dear to me because she's the first dog that I bought with my own money and raised on my own. When my family moved to Manila and I was left to live alone, it was Patsy who slept beside me the whole time, together with Schneider, my Pitbull. I am also giving credit to these two lovely dogs because when I was having a nightmare (bangungot), for some reasons, they jumped over me and licked me on the face so I was awakened. So I could actually say they're my heroes! They saved my life!
PATSY. I got her name from the nickname of my cousin's classmate back in Grade I at The Learning Child, Ayala, Alabang. She's one pretty girl who knows her way around and is very independent. Exactly just like my own Patsy.

It's Final
This time, it's for real. There's no turning back anymore. Our HRD already received a copy of my resignation letter.

So what's next? I'll be staying in Alabang. If there are companies out there accepting part-time jobs, I'll be interested in applying. :) (anyone who has an idea?)
Life's really like that. There will come a time when you have to let go and get out of your comfort zone. Sure, it feels like jumping into the unknown, but I think that this is the right time for me to move on. Yes, I'll be leaving behind all of the people I've learned to call my friends. I'll be leaving my boyfriend, too, and my dad, but with God's grace, I know we will all make it.
Kailangan lang gawin ito ngayon...kailangan lang kumayod ng doble. Para sa pag-aaral ng kapatid ko. Para sa mga magulang ko. Para sa mga pamangkin ko. At pang huli, para sa akin.
Full time work in a call center + part time in an English Tutoring company(hopefully, I'll pass) + part time job in the water station where I'll be living (paperwork).

RP tops Syria in OT
I just have to post this!
All content from: www.pba-online.net

(Naks! And there goes Jimmy Alapag again..hehehe)
With its heartbreaking loss to Jordan yesterday shattering the country's Olympic dreams, you cannot fault if the team play listless and without energy against Syria in the classification phase of the 2007 FIBA Asia Championships.
Although it was a tough loss, the Philippines showed pride as they scored a tough 107-100 overtime victory against a winless Syrian team which the Filipinos also beat in the Manila Invitationals hed earlier this month.
Jimmy Alapag, the smallest guy on the team, again played big and lead the team in scoring for the 3rd time in 4 games, scoring 32 points to go along with 5 assists. Asi Taulava and Danny Seigle, both playing with injuries, scored 15 points apiece to support Alapag.
The team, hounded by injuries since the tournament started, added two players on that list as Mark Caguioa, who added 16 points, was taken out late in regulation after hyper-extending his shoulder. Earlier in the first quarter, Kelly Williams suffered a pulled hamstring after playing only 7 minutes.
"I know psychologically and physically your team is very tired. We tried to take our chance, but we're not just lucky," said Samer Kayaly, the coach of the same Syrian team the Nationals beat in the recent Manila Invitationals.
Scores:
SMC-Team Pilipinas 107 -- Alapag 32, Caguioa 16, Seigle 15, Taulava 15, Hontiveros 11, Ritualo 6, Raymundo 5, Menk 5, Norwood 2, Williams 0, Helterbrand 0.
Syria 100 – Madanly 33, Alsaman 27, Yakoub 16, Alkatib 12, Hasaballah 7, Abdallah 5, Labes 0.
Quarterscores: 18-24; 38-35; 65-65; 89-89 (reg); 107-100.
